Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Cheese Puffs
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 12 khari biscuits
- 1 chopped green chilli (optional)
- 4 tbsp grated cooking cheese
- a little chilli powder
- salt and pepper to taste
For the white Sauce :
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp maida
- 2 teacups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
- For the White Sauce :
- Melt the butter, add the maida and cook for 2 minutes without browning, while
stirring throughout.
- Take out from the heat and gradually put the milk. Mix till it gets blended
properly.
- Return to heat and cook slowly, stirring throughout until the sauce gets thickens.
- Put salt and pepper and mix properly.
For the Cheesy Puffs :
- Combine the white sauce, green chilli, half the cheese, salt and pepper.
- Divide each biscuit into 2 parts.
- Keep on a baking tray.
- On each biscuit, spread a little sauce, sprinkle some cheese and chilli powder.
- Bake in a hot oven at 450ºF for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Ready to serve.
