Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Chocolaty Carrot and Nut Cake

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 1 cup finely grated carrots
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup mixture of almond, pecan and
  • cashew
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 ½ cup wholewheat flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp all spice powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp sodium bicarbonate
  • ½ tsp salt

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a big bowl, combine carrots, sugar and butter. Pour the boiling water to this.
  3. In another bowl, mix all the other ingredients.
  4. Add this to the carrot mixture & blend well.
  5. Pour this to a greased cake pan.
  6. Bake till a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
