Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Coconut Aval
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 2 cups aval
- ½ cup grated coconut
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp ghee
- ¼ tsp mustard
- ½ tsp channa dal
- ½ tsp urad dal
- 2 red chillies
- 2 green chillies
- a few curry leaves
- cashews
- a small pinch hing
- 1 tsp salt
Recipe (How to Make):
- Soak aval, and salt in ¼ cup of water for 10 minutes.
- Sauté mustard, urad dal, channa dal, hing, curry leaves, red chillies,
chopped green chillies,and coconut in coconut oil until coconut turns slightly
brown.
- Put soaked aval to the above, and simmer the stove and mix properly for 5 minutes.
- Roast cashews in little ghee, and add it to the above.
