Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Corn And Paneer Canapes
Ingredients for the Recipe
- For the base :
- 10 bread slices
- a little butter
For the spread :
- 1½ teacups cooked corn
- 1 teacup chopped paneer
- 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
- 3 green chillies, chopped
- 2 pinches sugar
- 4 tbsp grated cooking cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
For serving :
For the white sauce :
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp maida
- 2 teacups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
For the white sauce
- Melt the butter, add the maida and cook for 2 minutes without browning, while
stirring throughout.
- Take out from the heat and gradually put the milk. Mix till it gets well blended.
- Return to heat and cook slowly, stirring throughout until the sauce get thickens.
- Put salt and pepper and mix properly.
For the corn and paneer canapes :
- Cut the bread slices into small rounds.
- Apply a little butter on both sides and bake in a hot oven at 400ºF for
5 to 10 minutes until it becomes crispy.
- Combine the corn, paneer, white sauce, coriander green chillies, sugar, salt
and pepper.
- Spread a little corn mixture on each toasted round.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake in a hot oven at 400ºF until the
cheese gets melted.
- Put a little chilli sauce.
- Ready to serve.
