Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Dal
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 1 cup toovar dal
- 4 tomatoes
- 6 green chillies
- 2 red chillies
- ½ tsp sambhar powder
- a small pinch hing
- ¼ tsp mustard
- ¼ tsp haldi
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- a few curry leaves
- a small bunch cilantro, finely chopped
Recipe (How to Make):
- Cook dal with haldi and keep it aside.
- Heat some oil and put the mustard in it.
- When they crackle put red chillies, green chillies, hing, curry leaves, and
tomatoes and sauté this for a few minutes.
- Once the tomatoes are cooked, add sambhar powder, and salt to this.
- Now put the cooked dal, and let this cook until the flavour comes out.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro, and squeeze lemon juice.
