Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Fresh Dhokla

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 1 cup chana dal
  • 1 cup urad dal
  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • Little ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for greasing

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Wash and soak all three dals at least 4 hours.
  2. Grind the dals and green chilies to a smooth paste. Mix salt.
  3. Allow it to ferment in a warm place for at least 6-8 hours.
  4. Grease and steam the batter for 15 minutes
  5. Heat little oil, put mustard seeds. When it crackles put little sugar and little lemon juice.
  6. Serve hot.
