Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Jam Tartlets

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 1 short crust pastry
  • jam
  • 20 tart moulds

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Pre-heat the oven to fairly hot at 400F. have ready 18-20 patty tins.
  2. Make the short pastry dough.
  3. Roll out thinly and cut into circles, larger than the moulds, with a cutter.
  4. Line each tin with a round of pastry, pressing down gently with the fingertips.
  5. Place a spoon of jam in each. Do not add too much or it will boil out.
  6. Bake in a pre-heated over for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven.
  7. Leave in tins for 2-3 minutes. Remove care-fully and cool on a wire tray.
  8. Serve with custard.
