Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Kesar Biscuits

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 115 gms maida
  • 40 gms sugar
  • 50 gms ghee
  • 3 elaichi
  • a small piece nutmeg
  • 2 almonds
  • 3 pistachios
  • a little saffron
  • 1 tsp milk

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Keep the almonds in hot water for a few minutes.
  2. Take out the skin and cut them very finely.
  3. Chop the pistachios. Powder the elaichi and nutmeg together.
  4. Warm the saffron and melt in 1 tsp of milk.
  5. Cream the ghee and sugar properly.
  6. Put the saffron, cardamom and nutmeg powder and mix properly.
  7. Put the well-sieved maida and make a dough without adding any liquid.
  8. Roll out the dough using a little maida.
  9. Sprinkle a few nuts and give a light final roll.
  10. Cut into desired shapes.
  11. Grease a baking tin, keep the biscuits over it and bake in a moderate oven at 350ºF for 15 minutes.
  12. Keep it to cool and store.
