Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Kesar Biscuits
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 115 gms maida
- 40 gms sugar
- 50 gms ghee
- 3 elaichi
- a small piece nutmeg
- 2 almonds
- 3 pistachios
- a little saffron
- 1 tsp milk
Recipe (How to Make):
- Keep the almonds in hot water for a few minutes.
- Take out the skin and cut them very finely.
- Chop the pistachios. Powder the elaichi and nutmeg together.
- Warm the saffron and melt in 1 tsp of milk.
- Cream the ghee and sugar properly.
- Put the saffron, cardamom and nutmeg powder and mix properly.
- Put the well-sieved maida and make a dough without adding any liquid.
- Roll out the dough using a little maida.
- Sprinkle a few nuts and give a light final roll.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Grease a baking tin, keep the biscuits over it and bake in a moderate oven at
350ºF for 15 minutes.
- Keep it to cool and store.
