Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Kesar Nankhatai Biscuits

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 100 gms maida
  • 100 gms fine semolina
  • 100 gms powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp thick fresh curds
  • 100 gms ghee
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ tsp soda bi-carb
  • ¼ tsp saffron
  • 1 tsp milk

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Sieve the maida. Sieve the semolina with a fine sieve.
  2. Cream the ghee and sugar properly until it becomes light and creamy.
  3. Put the cardamom and nutmeg powders and cream again.
  4. Warm the saffron and melt in 1 tsp of milk.
  5. Put the curds, soda bi-carb and make saffron.
  6. Stir well. Put the maida and semolina and knead well.
  7. Form into small rounds.
  8. Place on a greased baking tin and bake in a moderate oven at 300ºF for at least 30 to 40 minutes.
  9. Keep it to cool and store.
