Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Milk Jelly

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 300 ml milk
  • 15 g gelatine
  • 1 tsp castor sugar
  • lemon rind
  • 4 tbsp water

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Heat the gelatine gently in the water until dissolved.
  2. Add the milk, sugar and thinly-cut strips of lemon rind.
  3. Stir over a gentle heat until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Strain into a basin and stir from time to time until it attains the consistency of thick cream.
  5. Pour into a wet mould. The jelly may be flavoured with vanilla or coffee essence.
