Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Nimki

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 1 cup maida
  • ½ tsp salt, 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp ghee for spreading on the nimkis
  • oil or ghee for frying the nimki

Method

  1. Knead the maida with salt, ghee and enough water to form a dough, which is neither hard nor soft.
  2. Divide into 6-7 portions.
  3. Roll out each portion into a circle with 3 inches in diameter.
  4. Rub a little ghee on this and fold the rolled out roti twice into quarters.
  5. Make all the nimkis in this way.
  6. Heat the ghee and fry the nimkis on a low flame till they are over crispy.
  7. Ready to serve.
