Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Parupu Orundai Kozambhu
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 1 cup toovar dal
- 4 tsp channa dal
- 12 red chillies
- imli water
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- ¾ tsp methi
- ¼ tsp haldi
- a small pinch hing
- 1 tsp salt to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
- Soak toovar dal and channa dal in water for 2 hours.
- Soak 6 red chillies, 1 tsp salt, and hing in some water.
- Grind the above two into a thick paste.
- Put pepper, cumin seeds, and curry leaves to this.
- Fry methi, 6 red chillies, and hing in little oil, and wet grind the above mixture.
- Boil enough water with imli paste, salt and haldi so that you can add the balls
made out of toovar dal paste.
- Put the methi mixture paste and boil this until the flavour comes out.
- Make small balls out the toovar dal paste and add this to the boiling sambhar.
- Cook for a few minutes and garnish with curry leaves.
