Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Parupu Usili
Ingredients for the Recipe
- ¼ cup toovar dal
- ¼ cup channa dal
- 4 red chillies
- A small pinch hing
- 1 tsp urad dal
- ¼ tsp mustard
- A few curry leaves
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- Vegetables - beans and cabbage
- chopped
- 5 tsp cooking oil
Recipe (How to Make):
- Dry grind toovar dal, channa dal, and red chillies coarsely.
- Cut vegetable finely and boil this with little salt.
- Allow ½ cup of water to boil, put salt, and mix the dal mixture with
this water. Cook in a pressure cooker.
- Heat some oil in a pan and put the mustard.
- When they crackle, put urad dal, hing, and curry leaves in oil, and add the
dal mixture to this.
- Keep stirring until the dal becomes slightly dry.
- Now add the cooked vegetable and continue to stir until all the ingredients get mixed well.
