Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Pitla
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 1 cup toovar dal
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 2 tsp dhania
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ¼ cut coconut
- ¼ tsp mustard
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp gud
- 2 tsp tamarind paste
- a small pinch hing
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 4 bittergourd, chopped
- ½ cup channa
- a few curry leaves
Recipe (How to Make):
- Soak channa over night and keep them aside.
- Cook toovar dal and turmeric with extra water and separate the two, and keep
them aside.
- Sauté urad dal, dhania, red chilles, and pepper. Wet grind this mixture
with coconut.
- Sauté bittergourd, green chilles, curry leaves, turmeric, and salt in
little oil.
- Add channa, gud, tamarind paste, and toovar dal water to this and allow it to
cook.
- Now put the ground mixture, toovar dal and cook until the flavour comes
out.
