Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Plantain Podimas
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 2 to 3 plantain
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- a small pinch hing
- 6 green chillies
- a small piece ginger, grated
- ½ tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp channa dal
- ¼ tsp mustard
- curry leaves
- a small bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 lemon
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
- Boil plantains with turmeric and salt.
- Peel skin and grate them and keep it aside.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and put the mustard.
- When they crackle, put urad dal, channa dal, hing, turmeric, curry leaves, red
chillies, ginger, lemon juice and salt and then add the grated plantains.
- Allow it to cook for a few minutes and then garnish with cilantro.
