Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Quick Tasty Burgers
Ingredients for the Recipe
For bean burgers :
- 6 buns
- 450 gms baked beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 to 3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 teacup cooked rice
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 2 tbsp ghee
- melted butter
- salt to taste
For the covering :
- 4 tbsp grated cooking cheese
- a little butter
For the white sauce :
- 1½ tbsp butter
- 1½ tbsp plain flour
- 1½ teacups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
For the white sauce :
- Melt the butter, put the flour and cook for 2 minutes without browning and keep
on stirring throughout.
- Take out from the heat and gradually add the milk.
- Combine until well blended.
- Return to heat and cook slowly, stirring throughout until the sauce thickens.
- Put salt and pepper and mix properly.
For the Bean Burgers :
- Divide the buns horizontally into 2.
- Scoop out the centers. Brush all over with melted butter.
- Place on a baking tray and bake in a hot oven at 400ºF for 10 minutes.
- Heat the ghee in a vessel and sauté the onion for 1 minute.
- Put the green chillies, baked beans, cooked rice, tomato ketchup and salt and
cook for 1 minute.
- Fill the bun centers with this mixture.
- Spread a little white sauce on each bun.
- Sprinkle with cheese and dot with butter. Bake in a hot oven at 400ºF for
15 minutes.
- Ready to serve hot.
