Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Rich Fruit Cake
Ingredients for the Recipe
- 180 gms butter
- 230 gms sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 150 gms tuttifruti
- 30 ml milk
- 230 gms self raising flour
- 4 eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 50 gms almonds
Recipe (How to Make):
- Blanch almonds and chop. Mix most part of fruit with almonds.
- Beat eggs with vanilla essence and set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar and add the beaten eggs gradually.
- Fold in half the flour and fruit mixture into creamed mixture, mix throughly.
- Fold in the remaining flour and fruits. Add milk to get a dropping consistency.
- Grease and flour a 8 inch baking tray and pour in the cake mixture.
- You can jab the remaining fruit and chopped almonds on top.
- Bake at 350ºF for about 40 mins.
- After that, put off the oven and leave it inside for approx 10 mins.
- Remove from oven and allow it to cool.
