Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Spinach Idli Bar
Ingredients for the Recipe
For the poha idli :
- 1 cup idli rawa
- ¼ cup jada poha
- ¼ cup urad dal
- salt to taste
- oil for greasing
- For the spinach mixture :
- 1 bunch spinach, chopped
- 3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp oil
- salt to taste
Recipe (How to Make):
For the poha mixture :
- Wash and soak the idli rawa and jada poha in water for 2 hours.
- Wash the urad dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2 hours.
- Mix the idli rawa and jada poha in a mixer to make a smooth batter.
- Then grind the urad dal separately to make a smooth paste using a little water.
- Combine the two batters and add salt. Cover and keep it to ferment for at least
6 to 8 hours.
- Spoon out the batter into greased idli moulds and steam for at least 7 to 10
minutes.
For the spinach mixture :
- Heat the butter and oil in a pan
- Put the green chillies and onion and sauté for some time.
- Then put the spinach and salt and mix for a while.
- Take out from the fire and keep aside.
