Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Steamed Custard
Ingredients for the Recipe
For steamed custard :
- 570 ml milk
- 30 g castor sugar
- 4 eggs
- vanilla flavour
For the Wine Sauce :
- 70 ml sherry
- 2 tbsp any jam or jelly
- sugar to taste
- lemon juice to taste
- 70 ml water
Recipe (How to Make):
For Steamed Custard :
- Warm the milk and vanilla essence.
- Beat the eggs and sugar together.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mould, cover with greased paper and steam very
gently for about 40 minutes.
- Turn and serve with wine sauce.
For the Wine Sauce :
- Boil all the ingredients together for five minutes.
- Strain the sauce.
