Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Steamed Custard

Ingredients for the Recipe
For steamed custard :

  • 570 ml milk
  • 30 g castor sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • vanilla flavour

For the Wine Sauce :

  • 70 ml sherry
  • 2 tbsp any jam or jelly
  • sugar to taste
  • lemon juice to taste
  • 70 ml water

Recipe (How to Make):
For Steamed Custard :

  1. Warm the milk and vanilla essence.
  2. Beat the eggs and sugar together.
    Pour the mixture into a buttered mould, cover with greased paper and steam very gently for about 40 minutes.
  3. Turn and serve with wine sauce.

For the Wine Sauce :

  1. Boil all the ingredients together for five minutes.
  2. Strain the sauce.
