Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Sweet Potato Cake

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • 1 kg sweet potato, finely grated
  • ½ cup coconut, grated
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp custard flour
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 ½ cups of self rising flour (sieved)

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Beat the custard flour till it becomes fluffy.
  2. Add the butter to sugar and beat well.
  3. Add the sweet potato and ½ cup grated coconut. Mix well.
  4. Add all the other ingredients to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin and steam it for 40 minutes before baking it .
  6. Pre-heat oven to 180ºC. place tin inside.
  7. Bake at 180oc for 40 mins.
