Indian Cooking Recipe : How to Make Vegetable Fingers

Ingredients for the Recipe

  • ½ cup green gram
  • ½ cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, cauliflower, cabbage, etc.)
  • 3 green chilies
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

Recipe (How to Make):

  1. Soak green gram in water for 2 hours and grind with salt to smooth paste without adding water.
  2. Boil chopped vegetables. Add these vegetables, baking soda and the yogurt to the paste.
  3. Stir properly and pour this in idli plates & steam in a pressure cooker.
  4. Allow it to cool for few minutes and cut into fingers.
  5. Deep-fry this in oil till it becomes crispy.
  6. Ready to serve hot.
